Gary has always been a visionary, creating successful business relationships based on a win-win approach, and based on the needs of franchisees. Gary has brought together many people and organizations who have things in common, creating something greater than the sum of the parts.

In 2003, Gary engineered a strategic alliance between UNIGLOBE Travel and Vacation.com in the United States, whereby each franchise company provided services and benefits to the other, to the benefit of all. That same year, Gary was the key figure in forming the Corporate Advisory Council (CAC) within the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA). As the travel agency community continually adapts to changes and pressures within the industry, Gary believes that to be effective, the industry needed to speak with "one voice" to suppliers and lawmakers, and the CAC was created for that purpose. Members of the CAC are competitors, yet they come together to speak on issues common to all.

In 2004, Gary saw the opportunity to become involved in real estate franchising in the burgeoning markets of Asia Pacific, and secured the master franchisor rights for Century 21 in that Region in partnership with Ronald Wang of Taiwan.

In 2007, nine of the leading UNIGLOBE Travel agencies in the US merged with a division of the franchisor, to create one of the top 50 large travel agencies in the US, UNIGLOBE Travel Partners.
The Charlwood Pacific Group (CPG) owns the master and/or territory
franchise rights to leading brands in travel, real estate and mortgage brokerage
businesses in Canada and around the world. CPG’s success comes from
excellence in franchising and the desire to build successful business strategies.
